Milagres Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Detroit Wednesday, September 22nd , 2021 Adolfo Milagres, first baseman for the Toronto Titans, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 5 tries against the Detroit Motors. Not only did the Motors break his 20-game hitting streak, they also beat Toronto by the score of 6-5. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Milagres said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." In the 2021 season Milagres is hitting .290 with 23 home runs. |
