Boston Loses Joam Yamanaka, Will Miss Season Sunday, September 5th , 2021 Joam Yamanaka will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Boston starting pitcher could miss the remainder of the year. Yamanaka was injured while throwing a pitch in the Shamrocks-Blues clash at Blues Field recently. Doctors said he has bone chips in his elbow and would be out a minimum of 6 months. This year, Yamanaka has a 7-3 mark in 16 starts with a 2.72 ERA. He has given up 64 hits in 89.1 innings, struck out 82 and issued 34 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .206 batting average against him. |
