San Francisco Ships de Smit to Houston Saturday, October 30th , 2021 The Peanuts and Mavericks pulled the trigger on a deal that will see 25-year old RHP Benno de Smit and $375,000 in cash head to Houston in exchange for $1 in cash. A source close to San Francisco officials said, "The teams spent long hours coming to the agreement and in the end, both agreed the deal should help both clubs." In his career, de Smit has fashioned a 13-31 mark, 4.76 ERA and thrown 340 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .277 lifetime against him and he has logged 398 career strikeouts. |
