El Paso Wins Cup Qualifier Friday, October 15th , 2021 The championship aspirations of the El Paso Diablos are still alive and well, while the San Francisco Peanuts are left to wait until next year. El Paso won the clinching game of the Cup Qualifier 6-4 over San Francisco at Inferno Field, to win the series 4-2. "You feel like a little kid again, celebrating something like this," said center fielder Ryan Burton, who paced the El Paso offense and was named series MVP. "We take everything real seriously when we're on the field, but after a series is over you can finally relax a little bit." Burton claimed the MVP by racking up 8 hits for a .348 average, with a .423 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 5 runs.
