Peanuts Cruise to Cup Qualifier with Sweep Tuesday, October 5th , 2021 It's a sweet sweep for the San Francisco Peanuts and they have won the Play-in Series. The Atlanta Pilots were not able to keep pace with the Peanuts and dropped the series in short order, losing, 8-1, in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Atlanta manager Erik Swartzwelder. It's now on to the Cup Qualifier for San Francisco after their 3-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was right fielder Travis McCombs, who was named MVP. For the series, McCombs hit .364 with a .462 on-base percentage.
