El Paso Win to Pull Even With San Francisco
|
The El Paso Diablos defeated the San Francisco Peanuts, 6-3, in Game 4 of the Cup Qualifier. Doing his part was starter Kevin Keeth, who threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The win moves El Paso into a 2-2 tie with San Francisco in the series.
El Paso used the timely hitting of Aaron Shelby to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Diablos on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
El Paso manager Joe Peters commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Garibaldi's Grounds in San Francisco.
