Thanks in large part to right fielder Remie Broers, the Detroit Motors beat the Philadelphia Keystones, 7-5. Broers went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Motors hope to make a postseason run.

In the bottom of the sixth, Casey Ingalls delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the Detroit left fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Motors in front, 7-5.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Ingalls. "And not try to do too much."
