Shamrocks fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.

The Boston Shamrocks turned back the St. Louis Lions, 7-6, at Boston Commons. Jon Nelson, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times. Ethan Evans earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0.

The Shamrocks were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 24-year old second baseman David Miles landed a big blow. He turned a 3-1 fastball from Jack Reynolds into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Boston Commons denizens into a frenzy and sent the Shamrocks home with a thrilling 7-6 win.

"This ballpark was lit," Nelson said.

The second-place Lions now sit at 33-19.
