Pruitt Slugs 2 Home Runs, Union Beat Cutthroats, 10-1

Chicago third baseman Sam Pruitt had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Denver Cutthroats, 10-1. Heinz Brown earned the win for Chicago. He lasted 5 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 11-5. Picking up the save was Jean-Sébastien Bellot. He's now 1 for 1 in save chances.
Felipe Quintana had a big 3-run home run for the Union in the top of the third inning. With Chicago leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Tyshawn Dortch and swatted a home run to right. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Union ahead, 5-0.
"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Denver manager Tyler Montgomery. "They pounded us."
The last-place Cutthroats have lost 4 consecutive games.
