Abel, Blues March to 7-4 Victory

Led by Sam Abel, the New York City Blues defeated the Miami Sun Sox, 7-4. Abel, a native of Romeoville, Illinois, was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Blues. George Spence closed it out for New York City, earning his 11th save. The Blues improved their record to 25-39 by beating Miami.
Bob Ortega helped out the New York City cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"I thought we competed really well," said Blues manager Mark Haydock. "I thought the energy was really good."
