Branch goes 4-for-5 to Light Peanuts Fuse

The San Francisco Peanuts downed the Los Angeles Knights, 10-6, the largest share of the credit belonging to designated hitter Aaron Branch. On the day, Branch went 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Peanuts. The win gives San Francisco a season record of 39-25.
In the bottom of the sixth, San Francisco catcher Carl Neville gave his team the lead. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Rastaman Bakra hit his 12th home run of the year. Los Angeles pitcher Matthew Jacobs surrendered it. With that, the Peanuts jumped in front, 5-3.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Peanuts manager Keven Berman. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
