The Chicago Union earned a win at The Lions Hearth, knocking off the St. Louis Lions, 8-4. On the bump for Chicago was left-hander Heinz Brown. He had a starring role in the triumph. Brown, the winner, moves to 9-4. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 1 walk. The save was credited to Steve Villarreal, his 3rd.

Chicago used the hitting of Bryan Mocarski to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Union on top, 4-3. For the game, Mocarski had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Heinz is still learning," said Union manager Ron Chiu. "The sky's the limit for him."

With the victory, the Union upped their record to 35-28.
