The Detroit Motors beat the El Paso Diablos, 8-5, with major props going to first baseman David Abeyta. On the day, Abeyta went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Motors. Detroit reliever Craig Schmidt got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Omar Thomas was tagged with the loss. Detroit has now won 3 in a row.
