Philadelphia Edges Las Vegas in Extra Innings
|
The Philadelphia Keystones overcame a good performance by Las Vegas shortstop Marco Llamas to knock off Las Vegas, 5-4, in 10 innings at Keystones Stadium. Llamas was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Philadelphia reliever Miguel Hernandez picked up the win. Billy Piatt, who is a two-time All-Star, took the loss for Las Vegas. Philadelphia now owns a record of 19-25.
The Keystones got a clutch hit from first baseman Jason Youngsma. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Keystones.
"I like our resilience," said Youngsma.
