El Paso Charts 4-2 Win Over Las Vegas
|
The exploits of right fielder Bob Pfeiffer, who finished 2nd in the PBC in home runs with 29 in 2017, helped the El Paso Diablos defeat the Las Vegas Aces, 4-2. Pfeiffer was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2. The Aces, now 11-8, have lost 4 in a row.
El Paso used a timely hit from Ajani Fears to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Diablos ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"I like how we battled to the end," said Fears.
