Steelheads Heading to SPBC Classic Series Friday, October 9th , 2020 The Vacaville Steelheads are off to the SPBC Classic Series. By a final score of 6-0 at Ballpark of Vacaville, Vacaville ended the Circuit Championship Series and knocked out the Southern California Empires by a series score of 4-2. "Two great teams, only one can go on and we're happy that's us," said Jim Ellis, who was named series MVP. "There's no easy games, no easy series in the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit playoffs." For the series, Ellis hit .348 with a .348 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 4 runs.
