Steelheads Move on to Circuit Championship Series Tuesday, September 29th , 2020 The joy and relief on the faces of the Vacaville Steelheads players was obvious as they celebrated their Play-in Series win over the Calgary Caracals. "In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Vacaville third baseman Bob Shiplack, shortly after the 4-3 win that clinched the series 2-1. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done." The team is now off to the Circuit Championship Series. Shiplack won series MVP honors on the strength of his .462 batting average during the series. He also had a .462 on-base percentage and 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs.
