Done Deal: Gerek for Rice Monday, November 16th , 2020 In an effort to add some depth to its roster, the Quebec City Admirals have swapped 30-year old 2B Dale Gerek to the D.C. Potomacs for 32-year old 1B Scott Rice. The Admirals GM told reporters, "We saw a chance to upgrade our ball club and took it." Quebec City will retain a portion of Gerek's remaining contract. In his career, Gerek has gotten 529 hits with a .247 batting average, scored 307 runs, hit 49 home runs and driven in 248. |
