Western Semi-Pro Circuit Crowns Vacaville's Zuniga Thursday, November 5th , 2020 With speculation about his retirement gaining steam last offseason, Steelheads ace Matt Zuniga had something to prove. He proved it in award-winning style as he accepted the Western Semi-Pro Circuit Pitcher of the Year Award today. The veteran Vacaville hurler posted a record of 13 wins and 9 losses this year with a 2.68 ERA. In 32 starts he struck out 187 and walked 54 in 238 innings. He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 20.
