Lazo Reaches 1000 Wednesday, August 19th , 2020 Tampa Bay's Gil Lazo belted his 1000th hit against Boston today, but the Shamrocks spoiled the day with a 9-8 victory at Boston Commons. On his milestone day, the 37-year-old third baseman went 1 for 3 at the plate for the Thunder. In 992 career games Lazo has hit .268 with 1000 hits, 145 home runs, 565 RBIs and scored 618 runs.
