In a remarkable performance, Ottawa Capitals starter Domingo Marquez beat the D.C. Potomacs, 8-0, in an impressive 5-hit shutout.

"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."

The Capitals hurler finished with 9 strikeouts and 1 walk. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.

"It was a rough one for my guys," D.C. manager Jacob Benton said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."

To this point in the season Marquez has 6 wins and 3 losses and a 3.28 ERA.
