No Late-Season Magic Coming: Winnipeg Out of Playoffs Saturday, September 21st , 2019 The dream of lifting a championship banner above the home field of the Winnipeg Buffaloes has been extinguished, at least for 2019. The club was formally eliminated from playoff contention today. Asked to comment on the news, Buffaloes manager Josh Wickware issued a one-word statement, which cannot be printed by BNN. This is the club's 9th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2010. In total, the Buffaloes have missed the playoffs 15 times in their 18-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Buffaloes have missed the playoffs 8 times. Winnipeg has won the SPBC Classic Series 2 times in their history. |
