Moose Hitless Against Schene Wednesday, September 4th , 2019 In a dominant outing, Justin Schene of the Calgary Caracals totally silenced the bats of the Saskatoon Moose, finishing with a no-hitter. In the 4-0 victory, Schene faced only 28 batters, surrendered no hits, had 6 strikeouts and 1 walk. "Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Calgary manager Dorian Harmon said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any." Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Juan Huerta told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game. "The Caracals had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Schene pitched a heck of a ballgame." So far this year, Schene has compiled a 9-5 record with a 3.89 ERA.
