Done Deal: Mallandaine for Hayden Monday, November 11th , 2019 It's all done except the paperwork. The Allentown Fleetwings and the Sherbrooke Canadians have agreed to a trade that will send 21-year old minor league LF Nicolai Volnov, 24-year old minor league LHP Cecil Mallandaine, and 23-year old minor league LHP Jon Bryant to Sherbrooke, while 29-year old LF Joshua Hayden will be shipped to Allentown. A top front office executive with the Fleetwings described the trade talks as "quick and easy." "We're glad to get this deal done. We think it's something that helps our ball club and it didn't take too long at all to sort this one out," he said. Lifetime Hayden has played in 521 games with a .251 batting average. Among his 463 hits are 85 doubles, 4 triples and 64 home runs. He has also scored 233 runs and driven in 245 runs. |
