Knights-Potomacs Deal: Smith for Eaker Wednesday, November 6th , 2019 Reports have surfaced that New York has agreed to send 24-year old minor league RHP Bob Smith to the D.C. Potomacs in exchange for 28-year old RHP Pete Eaker. "It's a done deal," said one executive speaking on the condition of anonymity. "I'm surprised word got around so quickly. We just signed off on this an hour ago." The deal apparently is awaiting physicals before an official announcement is made by either team. So far in his career, Eaker has registered 17 saves and fashioned a 4-10 won-lost mark. In 68 games he has fanned 130 batters in 107.2 innings and logged a 3.34 ERA. |
