Best Season In WSPC Belongs To Dear Wednesday, October 30th , 2019 Matt Dear, the Vacaville catcher, certainly made an impression on Western Semi-Pro Circuit pitchers this past season. He punished them for 166 hits in 519 at-bats, 27 doubles, 1 triple, 21 home runs, and 98 RBIs and scored 81 times. That standout hitting earned him the Western Semi-Pro Circuit Most Valuable Player Award for 2019. He received 17 first place votes out of a possible 20. Jon Shaw of the Saskatoon Moose finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Rich Grissom of the Las Vegas Rollers finished third.
