Edmonton's Rovanperä Out 9 Months Monday, September 30th , 2019 Edmonton third baseman Taisto Rovanperä suffered a season-ending injury running the bases in today's game against the Steelheads. According to club doctors Rovanperä has a broken kneecap. Although Rovanperä has declined to comment, sources close to the player have stated that he is "devastated" that he will miss the playoffs. This year, Rovanperä has hit 6 home runs and posted a .279 batting average. |
