Barrage of Hits Gets Abel PBC Award Monday, September 2nd , 2019 26-year-old Sam Abel sent shock waves through Professional Baseball Circuit last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Professional Baseball Circuit Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Abel made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .467 average, 7 hits in 15 at-bats, 1 home run and 10 runs batted in. Where the New York City Blues third baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Abel certainly made his mark last week. At present, Abel is batting .258 and has collected 5 home runs, 35 RBIs, .318 OBP and scored 31 runs. |
