Almost There: St. Louis On Cusp of CQ Triumph After 8-4 Win
Toronto center fielder Matt Kelly pounded St. Louis Lions pitchers at Titans Fields, but it was not enough to keep the Titans from falling, 8-4, in Game 4 of the Cup Qualifier. Kelly was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, though he couldn't keep the Titans from slipping to a 3-1 deficit in the best-of-7 series.

St. Louis used a timely hit from Jerry Fleet to get the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Lions ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Fleet.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Titans Fields in Toronto.
