5-Hit Game for Baker
Saskatoon third baseman Jalen Baker could do no wrong in his team's 12-9 win over the Aztecas, as he collected 5 hits.

"Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Aztecas skipper Beau Beadle said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts."

Baker agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game.

"Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."

Jalen Baker hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.

Baker is hitting .288 this season with 4 home runs, 14 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 42 hits in 146 at-bats.
