|
Los Angeles right fielder Jason Fallon had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Fallon went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2, even as Las Vegas beat the Knights, 5-4. Ron Mackowski went 6.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. The right-hander, who leads the PBC in quality starts with 18, struck out 12 and walked 2. With the win, he's now 14-3 this season. Las Vegas has now won 3 straight, while the Knights have lost 3 in a row.
The Aces got a big at-bat from second baseman Danny Sanchez. For the game, Sanchez was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Las Vegas a 5-4 lead.
Las Vegas manager Casey Lyman was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
