In a low-scoring game between the Denver Cutthroats and the Chicago Union, pitcher Kyle Fox was the difference-maker. The Denver right-hander was tough as nails in the 3-2 Cutthroats win. Denver reliever Won-keun Baek snagged the win, upping his record to 5-4. Justin Diaw shouldered the loss. The win hiked the Denver record to 40-35.
Po-sin Zheng was the walk-off hero for Denver. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cutthroats right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Zheng said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
