Late Rally by Cutthroats Secures 7-5 Win
|
The Denver Cutthroats defeated the El Paso Diablos, 7-5. First Baseman Manny Salcedo deserved a large share of the credit. Salcedo went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI for the Cutthroats. The win elevated the Cutthroats to 33-30.
The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Salcedo delivered big-time for Denver, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Ryan Matlock. The game-changing hit put the Cutthroats on top, 7-5.
"There's a lot of fight left in this team," said Salcedo.
