Aces Collect 4-3 Win Over Blues
The Las Vegas Aces and New York City Blues fought to the finish at Blues Field.

The Las Vegas Aces picked up a win at Blues Field, dropping the New York City Blues, 4-3, in 12 innings. Sam Cross, who is tied for 6th in the PBC in strikeouts with 83, was the difference-maker. Billy Piatt earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record is now 2-3. Ryan Carden closed out the game, earning his 1st save.

Las Vegas needed the clutch hitting of Jose Pedroso to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Aces on top, 4-3. For the game, Pedroso had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Las Vegas manager Casey Lyman.

Las Vegas raised its record to 25-19 with the win.
