Houston wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Luke Whalen, falling to the Philadelphia Keystones, 3-2. Whalen threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Houston, at 9-28, has lost 5 straight.

Philadelphia used the timely hitting of Antonio Perez to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Keystones on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame remarks, Perez applauded his team's "business-like approach."
