The Tampa Bay Thunder took on the Boston Shamrocks at Boston Commons.
The Tampa Bay Thunder downed the Boston Shamrocks, 6-2, the largest share of the credit belonging to left fielder Frank Robinson. On the day, Robinson went 2 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Thunder. Joe Warren, the winner, goes to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 9 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts over 7.2 innings. Dylan Smith earned the save for Tampa Bay, his 2nd.
Tampa Bay used a clutch at-bat from Jesse Reynolds to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Thunder ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
