Sun Sox Pick Up 6-3 Win Against Toronto
|
Kevin Keeth, who finished 4th in the PBC in strikeouts with 174 in 2017, had a strong outing for the Miami Sun Sox against the Toronto Titans at Sun Sox Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. The winning pitcher was Keeth, now 2-3. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. Billy Daily earned the save for Miami, his 2nd.
Miami took a 6-2 lead on Joe Wheatley's 6th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Wheatley hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Toronto pitcher Tyler Anson visibly frustrated.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Wheatley told the Miami Bulletin.
With the win, the Sun Sox sit at 11-8.
