Luis Reyes made an impact in the 8-7 El Paso win over San Francisco. Reyes, who finished 4th in the PBC in extra base hits with 45 last year, was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Perry van Kooij earned the save, his 1st.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Reyes delivered big-time for El Paso, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Rafael Martinez. The game-changing hit put the Diablos on top, 8-7.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said San Francisco manager Keven Berman. "But we decided not to take it."

El Paso goes to 9-6.
