Mavericks Come up Short of Playoffs Monday, September 24th , 2018 The playoff hopes of the Houston Mavericks have been extinguished for the year. Today, the team was mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the 2018 postseason. "It's weird, yesterday we were all talking about what we needed to do to make it to the Pro Circuit Cup and now we're just counting down the days until the offseason, said Mavericks closer Matthew Browning. This is the club's 2nd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2016. In total, the Mavericks have missed the playoffs 7 times in their 19-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Mavericks have made the playoffs 8 times. Houston last won the Pro Circuit Cup in 2010. |
