Reyes Raps 3 HR Against Knights Thursday, September 20th , 2018 El Paso Diablos left fielder Luis Reyes put on a dazzling display of power at Camelot against the Los Angeles Knights. In the 13-3 Diablos victory, Reyes penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts. "He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Los Angeles manager Steve Finley said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well." Along with his three home runs, the 27-year-old had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Reyes said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today." Luis Reyes hit a solo-shot off Josh Bruntlett in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Josh Bruntlett in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Josh Bruntlett in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. In his season totals, Reyes has 17 home runs, .358 BA, .420 OBP, 71 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He has played in 80 games. |
