Abraham Goes 5-for-5 Against Tampa Bay Friday, September 14th , 2018 The St. Louis Lions stopped the Tampa Bay Thunder by a score of 14-3 at The Thunder Bowl, with the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Tom Abraham. The 26-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Abraham said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Abraham did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Thunder. "Not much that I can say," offered Tampa Bay manager Ray McKay. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Tom Abraham singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
