But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Detroit Motors rising star has won the Professional Baseball Circuit Reliever of the Year Award for 2018.
He captured the award on the strength of his 1.60 ERA over 56.1 innings. He also had 15 saves in 34 relief appearances, 87 strikeouts and only 17 walks.
He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 18. Jack Reynolds of the St. Louis Lions finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Ethan Evans of the Boston Shamrocks finished third with 2 first place votes.
