The Denver Cutthroats overcame a good performance by St. Louis shortstop Matt Weber to knock off St. Louis, 6-4, at Cutter's Cove. Weber was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. St. Louis, with the loss, is still a stout 6-2.

In the bottom of the second, Denver shortstop Luis Martinez had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and no one out, Martinez stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-0, Denver. For the game, he went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
