The St. Louis Lions and El Paso Diablos played an entertaining game for Inferno Field patrons.

The St. Louis Lions faced a tough opponent in El Paso pitcher Ben Barger, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Inferno Field by a final score of 5-4 in 11 innings. Barger went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs. The second-place Lions have won 4 straight games.

It could have been a different outcome for St. Louis, had it not been for Tom Abraham, the two-time All-Star . Abraham contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th inning to put St. Louis up, 5-4.

"Ah," said Abraham in a jubilant clubhouse, "the sweet smell of victory!."
