Chicago Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction
The Denver Cutthroats defeated the Chicago Union, 9-4, in part because of first baseman Manny Salcedo. Salcedo was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Cutthroats. Won-keun Baek was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 10 of 11 save opportunities. Chicago is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.

Nathaniel Braswell had a big 2-run home run for the Cutthroats in the bottom of the second inning. With Denver leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from Danny Brannigan and swatted a home run to center. It was his 7th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cutthroats ahead, 3-0.
