Slumping Shamrocks Lose Again, 6-2
The San Francisco Peanuts got a strong performance from pitcher Cortez Crus. Smoke stymied the Boston offense en route to a solid, 6-2 win at Garibaldi's Grounds. In 9 innings, Crus surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The loss makes Boston 20-28.

San Francisco took advantage of an error in the bottom of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Travis McCombs hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Peanuts in front, 3-2.

"There's ebbs and flows in the season and right now we're just looking to finish strong," said McCombs.
