San Francisco beat Los Angeles on the strength of starting pitcher Kevin Keeth's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. Keeth, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 8.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 1 walk. Rafael Martinez earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.

Chris Beveridge had a big 2-run triple for the Peanuts in the bottom of the second inning. With San Francisco leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a splitter from Jorge Ramos and swatted a triple to right. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Peanuts ahead, 4-0.

"We were the better team," crowed Beveridge.

The win puts San Francisco at 3-2.
