Texans Net 6-1 Win Over Aces
|
Pitcher Brandon Hooks was sensational for the Dallas Texans in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Las Vegas Aces. Hooks earned the win. Hooks, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks. Dave Swaney collected his 2nd save.
It could have been a different outcome for Dallas, had it not been for Tyler Beanblossom, the 31-year old third baseman . Beanblossom contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Dallas up, 4-0.
"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Dallas manager Jesus Sanchez.
The Texans, now 11-14, know that wins in July count the same as wins in September.
