In a seemingly effortless performance, Jesse Steele of the El Paso Diablos shot down the Denver Cutthroats, 7-0, on 2 hits.

"Jesse was just locating so well and using his pitches," El Paso manager Joe Peters said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."

Steele recorded 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing.

"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Denver manager Keven Berman said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
