No Playoff Berth Coming for Ottawa Thursday, September 14th , 2017 Fans of the Ottawa Capitals will no doubt soon start turning their attention to next season -- if they haven't already. The team today was officially eliminated from playoff contention. Ottawa last appeared in the postseason in 2010. This is their 7th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 11 times in their 16-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Capitals have missed the playoffs 6 times. Ottawa has won the SPBC Classic Series 2 times in their history. |
